Andy Beshear cannot extend a May executive order that [reduced the gasoline tax by 10 cents](https://kentuckylantern.com/2026/06/11/37-municipalities-request-beshears-gas-tax-reduction-after-ky-lawmakers-question-the-move/) through June 30 for 37 municipalities. “We’ve done this as long as we can,” he said Thursday, and called on President Donald Trump to “take action.” “President Trump should officially resolve this conflict in Iran — not a memorandum of understanding to negotiate for another 60 days,” Beshear said during his weekly press conference. “Get in there, send the seasoned diplomats, and get it done.
