I've got a question from somebody who noticed that restaurant Papi's on Nicholasville Road reopened as Casa Rosita after the previous owner got arrested. They're wondering if it's the same kitchen staff and recipes, or if this is completely new management and food?

That's a good question, and honestly the situation with those restaurants has been pretty fluid over the past month. Two of the restaurant's locations have opened under the name Casa Rosita with a new incorporator after the arrest. What's interesting is that it appears that a family member is now operating them, so there's likely some continuity there.

So it's not a completely fresh start then?

Doesn't seem like it. The restaurants at thirty-nine oh one Fountainblue Lane in Palomar and nineteen eighty-eight Stockton Way just off Citation Boulevard announced on April twenty-sixth that they were open. But here's what I can tell you, two other Papi's locations in Lexington remain closed amid the controversy, so it's really just these two spots that have made the transition.

Any sense of whether the food's changed at all?

That's the part nobody's really talking about publicly yet. Given that it seems to be family-operated and they reopened pretty quickly, my guess would be they're trying to maintain some consistency with what people knew and liked. But honestly, with a name change and new incorporation, they might be putting their own spin on things too. Probably worth stopping by to see for yourself.
