Ask Lex · @bonbonlovescats2728 · better blueberry waffles
So we got a question from @bonbonlovescats2728 on YouTube that's really got me thinking. Which is better, blueberry waffles or chocolate waffles?
Oh wow, now that's the kind of hard-hitting question that really matters on a rainy Saturday morning like this! You know, I'm absolutely team blueberry on this one.
Really? I would have pegged you as a chocolate person.
See, here's the thing about blueberry waffles. You get that perfect balance of tart and sweet, especially if you're using fresh Kentucky blueberries when they're in season. Plus there's something about those little pockets in the waffle that just hold the berries perfectly. And if you add a little maple syrup, it's like a perfect summer morning.
Okay, but chocolate waffles though. That's basically dessert for breakfast, which I am completely here for. Especially on a day like today when it's fifty-four degrees and drizzling.
You make a fair point about the weather. Nothing says comfort food like chocolate when it's gloomy outside. But I still think blueberry has that fresh, bright flavor that just wakes you up better. What about you, bonbonlovescats, are you team fruit or team chocolate?
And honestly, can we talk about how lucky we are to have places around town that do both really well?
Absolutely. Lexington's got some fantastic breakfast spots that'll satisfy either craving.
