
Banking Executive Todd Ziegler Named to Blue Grass Airport Board
LEXINGTON, Ky. — Blue Grass Airport announced that Todd Ziegler has joined the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Airport Board, where he will serve a four-year term on the 10-member governing body.
Ziegler, Republic Bank's market executive with over 37 years of banking experience, will help guide Blue Grass Airport's strategic direction and support its vision of providing a welcoming approach connecting Kentucky and the world. The airport serves as the primary airport for central and eastern Kentucky and contributes more than $370 million annually to the region's economy.
Ziegler has held various leadership roles at Republic Bank since joining the institution, most notably serving as central Kentucky market president. He began his banking career at National City Bank in 1989, gaining experience in corporate banking and middle-market banking, among other areas.
Beyond his new airport board appointment, Ziegler maintains an active presence in the community. He currently serves on the boards of the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, Commerce Lexington, Community Ventures Corporation, Urban League of Lexington-Fayette County and the Kentucky Chamber Competitiveness Policy Council. His past community involvement includes leadership roles with the Junior Achievement of the Bluegrass, American Heart Association, Business Education Network and Bluegrass Tomorrow.
The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Airport Board comprises volunteer members selected by the Mayor of Lexington and confirmed by the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Council. The board establishes policy, represents community interests and employs the airport's president and CEO, who oversees day-to-day operations.
