The city is hosting a free collection event from eight thirty in the morning until three in the afternoon at sixteen thirty-one Old Frankfort Pike. Residents can bring items like old paint, household cleaners, motor oil, batteries, pesticides, and electronics to be properly disposed of. These types of materials can be harmful to the environment if they end up in landfills or water systems, so the city provides these special collection days as a safe alternative.
