Well, Kentucky's getting some attention in a new economic study that warns mass deportations could shrink our state's workforce by over one hundred twelve thousand workers. The Kentucky Center for Economic Policy says that would drive up costs across multiple industries here.

That's significant for our local economy. What else caught your attention?

On a much lighter note, Kentucky just made it official that rescue dogs and cats are now our state symbols. This came from legislation championed by a teenager from Frankfort, and residents across the state are sharing stories about their own rescue pets.

Lexington Fire ran one hundred twenty-four calls today, which is pretty typical for a Wednesday. Three incidents required four or more units, including a couple of medical calls on Rio Dosa Drive and one response on West Main Street downtown.
