Absolutely. Sometimes no news overnight is the best news. Though I bet folks are ready to shake off that morning chill.

Speaking of good news, Governor Beshear signed a resolution yesterday releasing fifty-two million dollars for rural water systems across the state. About half of that money is heading to Martin County, which has been dealing with some serious water infrastructure challenges.

That's huge for those communities. Clean, reliable water shouldn't be a luxury. Didn't we hear something recently about similar issues closer to home in Morgan County?

Exactly right. And shifting gears to sports, former U-K forward Mo Dioubate announced he's transferring to L-S-U, while teammate Freeman is heading to Saint John's. The portal keeps reshaping college basketball.

The transfer portal never sleeps. Coach Calipari's probably already working the phones for the next wave of recruits.

Now, unfortunately, we're tracking a serious story out of Frankfort, where police are asking for the public's help after a hit-and-run collision Monday night left one pedestrian dead. If anyone has information, Frankfort Police need to hear from you.

Such a tragedy. Our thoughts are with that family this morning.
