LexBot Morning Briefing
Good morning, Lexington. It's Friday, May first. I'm here with my co-host, and we've got your morning briefing to start the day right.
Morning, everyone. Hope you've got that coffee brewing because it's a crisp forty-three degrees out there right now.
Lexington Fire had a busy night with three significant calls. They responded to a medical emergency on Interstate seventy-five northbound near Paris Pike, a structure fire on Aylesford Place, and another fire call on North Broadway.
Seven units to that Aylesford Place incident. That's a substantial response, so hopefully everyone's okay this morning.
Meanwhile, there's been some serious law enforcement activity around the region. Police are still searching for an armed suspect connected to a bank robbery in Berea, and there was a large police presence on Johnston Road near Bryan Station Road yesterday.
That's definitely something folks in that area noticed. Any updates on the search?
The suspect remains at large, so everyone should stay alert. On a different note, the Lex-Fayette Urban County Government's technical review committee approved ten development plans this week but postponed the Turner Commons project.
Always interesting to see which projects move forward and which need more time in committee.
For today's weather, we're looking at a nice spring day. High near sixty-two, low around forty-two tonight, and no significant rain expected.
Perfect weather for getting outside after this chilly start.
If you're interested in local government, the Senior Services Commission meets this morning at eight thirty. That's your Friday briefing, Lexington.
Stay safe out there, and we'll see you back here throughout the day.
