LEXINGTON, Ky. — A Canadian-based manufacturing automation company has officially opened its first U.S. headquarters in Lexington, bringing 111 new full-time jobs and a $5.4 million investment to the region.

BOS Innovations, headquartered in London, Ontario, celebrated the grand opening of its new facility at 1041 Providence Place Parkway with Gov. Andy Beshear and local leaders. The company specializes in advanced robotic production systems and automation solutions for industrial manufacturers, with more than 25 years of experience serving North American customers.

The Lexington operation will serve automotive, nuclear, defense, life sciences and general manufacturing industries. Company leaders said the facility will provide space for customers to work directly with engineers, evaluate automation technologies and develop production solutions. State officials noted that the expansion reflects BOS Innovations' growing U.S. customer base and will improve service, collaboration and supply chain operations for the company.

"Kentucky is a leader in the advanced manufacturing sector because of our diverse workforce, unique location and business-friendly environment," Beshear said in a statement. "I am proud to see that strong track record continue today for both manufacturing and foreign direct investment as BOS Innovations takes its next step forward here in their New Kentucky Home."

Ben Huigenbos, president of BOS Innovations, said manufacturers are increasingly turning to automation to improve efficiency, but successful implementation requires strong integration and support. The project was first announced in June 2025, making the Lexington facility the company's first U.S. operation.
