CommonSpirit incorporated into name and signs at Saint Joseph Hospitals
Saint Joseph Hospitals in Kentucky are incorporating CommonSpirit into their names and signage.
The Lexington and London hospitals will celebrate this change on July 27, and the Bardstown, Berea, Mount Sterling and Nicholasville facilities will celebrate the change on July 28.
“This celebration marks a years-long integration of the Kentucky ministry into CommonSpirit. While Saint Joseph Health has been a part of CommonSpirit since the national ministry’s creation in 2019, the Kentucky hospitals, clinics and offices are now fully embracing the brand, incorporating CommonSpirit into the naming and signage,” according to a press release.
New hospital names include:
- CommonSpirit Saint Joseph Hospital – Lexington (Harrodsburg Road location)
- CommonSpirit Saint Joseph Medical Center – East Lexington (Eagle Creek Drive location)
- CommonSpirit Saint Joseph Hospital – Bardstown (formerly Flaget Memorial Hospital)
- CommonSpirit Saint Joseph Hospital – Berea
- CommonSpirit Saint Joseph Hospital – London
- CommonSpirit Saint Joseph Hospital – Mount Sterling
- CommonSpirit Continuing Care Hospital – Lexington locations
Additionally, Saint Joseph Jessamine will pivot their naming to center around the specialty and patient care offerings that each facility is uniquely known for.
An April 2026 press release said: “It is important for patients to know that this change will not affect their care, their physicians, their nurses or the services received at any of the locations.”
