Editorial cartoonist Joe Heller has released a fresh collection of cartoons commenting on contemporary life, drawing his incisive perspective on topics ranging from doomscrolling and electric gloves to the USS Lincoln and Labor Day. The cartoons are featured in the NKy Tribune, where Heller serves as a regular featured cartoonist.
Heller, who worked as editorial cartoonist for the Green Bay Press-Gazette from 1985 to 2013, continues to produce multiple cartoons each week through his own syndication network. His work reaches a broad national audience, with cartoons regularly appearing in more than 400 newspapers across the country, including USA Today, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and the Denver Post. This prolific distribution has established him as the most successful self-syndicated editorial cartoonist in the nation.
The recent cartoons reflect Heller's characteristic approach to contemporary issues, using satire and visual wit to comment on social trends and current events. His body of work has earned substantial recognition over the years. Heller has received 10 Best of Gannett awards, eight Milwaukee Press Club awards, and two Honorable mentions for the prestigious John Fischetti Award, which recognizes outstanding editorial cartooning.
