FCPS Families Urged to Update Student Information Before New School Year
LEXINGTON, Ky. — Fayette County Public Schools is reminding families to verify and update their household information in the district's student information system before classes resume in August, according to an announcement from the district.
The annual update process allows parents and guardians to confirm contact information, emergency contacts, and transportation details through Infinite Campus, the web-based system used to manage student records across Kentucky. The update includes a section for families to sign up for bus transportation if needed.
"Taking care of this annual task quickly will improve efficiency and accuracy in FCPS records this fall, make sure we have current contact information for families, and help us better plan for the new school year," the district stated in its announcement.
Families can complete the registration update by visiting FCPS.net/ICupdate for step-by-step instructions. The Annual Update tool allows families to verify and correct household information, including parent or guardian contact details, emergency contacts, and student demographics.
For families who need assistance with the process, FCPS recommends contacting the registrar at their child's school after August 5. Parents can also email parent.portal@fayette.kyschools.us for support. Applications that involve address changes or the addition of new guardians and emergency contacts will require additional time for approval by district staff.
Once families complete the Infinite Campus update, they can check their child's bus routes through the School Bus Portal at FCPS.net/bus, though routes will be finalized by the district's Transportation department.
The new school year begins August 12 for most FCPS students, marking the start of a 180-instructional-day calendar that runs through May 26, 2027.
