Gov. Andy Beshear announced that Freeman Automation will establish a new operation in Graves County, representing a $1 million investment and creating 20 quality jobs, according to a statement from the Office of the Governor.

The electrical control panel manufacturer has outgrown its current location and will expand its operations through the new Graves County facility. Freeman Automation specializes in automation design and equipment reliability solutions.

The expansion adds to what has been a robust period of economic growth in Kentucky. Since the beginning of his administration, Gov. Beshear has announced more than 1,300 private-sector new-location and expansion projects totaling over $50.7 billion in announced investments, creating more than 70,000 jobs.

Graves County, located in western Kentucky's Jackson Purchase region with a population of approximately 36,649, has actively pursued economic development initiatives. Graves County Economic Development works to support local industry and create economic growth through the development of business and industry in Mayfield and the surrounding area.

The Freeman Automation expansion is expected to support the region's manufacturing sector and provide employment opportunities for local residents. The project reflects the company's growth trajectory and need for additional operational capacity.
