LEXINGTON, Ky. — The highly anticipated Kentucky football matchup against No. 12 Alabama has officially sold out, according to UK Athletics. The nationally televised contest is scheduled to kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC on September 12 at Kroger Field.

The game marks Kentucky's Southeastern Conference opener under first-year head coach Will Stein, who led the Wildcats to a 45-13 victory over Youngstown State in his inaugural game. Quarterback Kenny Minchey, who transferred from Notre Dame, threw for 301 yards and four touchdowns in that season-opening win.

Kentucky holds an all-time record of 2-39-1 against Alabama, including 2-15 in Lexington. Alabama has won seven consecutive meetings in the series. The Crimson Tide is also opening SEC play with the Kentucky matchup.

While the game is sold out, verified resale tickets remain available through the Ticketmaster official UK resale marketplace. UK Athletics emphasized the importance of ticket security, particularly for sold-out games that often attract scammers attempting to sell counterfeit or invalid tickets.
