Kentucky Horse Park prepares for FCPS Back to School Bash
LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Kentucky Horse Park will host a free Back to School Bash on July 25 to help Fayette County Public Schools students and families gear up for the new academic year, according to the school district.
The event runs from 9 a.m. to noon at the park's Iron Works Pike location. Attendees will enjoy horse meet-and-greets, school performance groups, food trucks and other free activities, with pony rides available for $8 starting at 10 a.m.
The Back to School Bash comes just weeks before the start of the 2026-2027 school year. Fayette County Public Schools students are scheduled to begin classes on Aug. 13.
The event targets students, teachers, staff and families throughout Fayette County. Promotional materials are available in Spanish and Swahili to reach diverse community members. No admission is required, making the event accessible to all families in the district.
The Kentucky Horse Park, a popular Lexington attraction, has hosted community events in recent years to support local schools and families during the back-to-school season.
