LEXINGTON, Ky. — Kentucky's state park system will open campgrounds across 19 locations on March 13, welcoming outdoor enthusiasts to begin their spring and summer camping season, according to the Kentucky Tourism, Arts & Heritage Cabinet.

The opening of the campgrounds marks the beginning of the busy season for Kentucky's state parks, which offer a variety of outdoor recreational opportunities throughout the state. The 19 participating campgrounds will provide visitors with access to hiking, fishing, boating and other outdoor activities available across the state park system.
