A student from Laurel County has made it among eight finalists for Kentucky's 2026 "I Voted" Sticker Contest, according to an announcement by the Kentucky Secretary of State's office.

Ryker Asher of Laurel County is among the finalists vying for the honor of having his or her design printed on official stickers distributed to voters across Kentucky during the November 2026 general election. The third annual contest invites Kentucky students from kindergarten through 12th grade to submit original designs meant to encourage voter participation.

The other seven finalists are Cash Litzler of Fleming County, Heer Patel of Metcalfe County, Meylin Zelaya of Franklin County, Rylan Bowman of Hopkins County, Suzy Heichelbech of Woodford County, Walden Fox of Fayette County, and Xavier Caird of Fayette County.

Kentuckians voted for their favorite designs at the Secretary of State's Office booth during the Kentucky State Fair, which ran through August 30. The winning design will be printed on stickers and distributed to county clerks for use during the November general election.

"By offering designs for our 'I Voted' sticker, Kentucky students have done their part to promote voting," Secretary of State Michael Adams said in a statement. "Now, it is up to Kentuckians of all ages to determine the winner."
