LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Lexington Humane Society is holding a raffle for a 2005 Chrysler Crossfire with approximately 3,500 miles to raise funds for the care of animals at the organization, according to official rules posted on the society's website.

Raffle tickets are $50 each, with a maximum of 500 tickets to be sold. The grand prize drawing is scheduled for Saturday, October 18, 2025, at approximately 2:30 p.m. at the Lexington Humane Society, located at 1600 Old Frankfort Pike. The drawing will be open to the public, though the winner need not be present to claim the prize.

The vehicle, valued at approximately $10,000 according to Kelley Blue Book, will be awarded in "as is, where is" condition without any warranty. The winner will be responsible for all associated costs, including title and registration fees, taxes, insurance, and other expenses of vehicle ownership. The society notes that forms W-2G and 945 will be filed with the Internal Revenue Service to report the prize value.

According to the rules, a minimum of 250 tickets must be sold for the winner to receive the car. If fewer than 250 tickets are sold, the society reserves the right to award 50% of gross sales revenue as the prize instead. All ticket sales are final with no refunds except for requests received after 500 tickets have been sold.

Eligible participants must be at least 18 years old at the time of purchase. Tickets may not be purchased in the name of a business, trust, corporation, or other entity. The Lexington Humane Society is licensed by the Office of Charitable Gaming under license number ORG000741.

Winners will be notified by telephone, email, and mail and must provide proper identification. Prize winners must sign a publicity release agreeing to the use of their name and likeness for promotional purposes.
