Lextran Completes Scheduled Maintenance on Tracking Systems
LEXINGTON, Ky. — Lextran completed scheduled maintenance on its real-time tracking systems Tuesday morning, briefly disrupting digital services that help riders navigate the transit system.
The maintenance affected the MyStop app, the Text-for-Next system and the Lextran website from approximately 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. All bus routes continued operating on regular schedules during the outage, Lextran officials said.
The maintenance was completed by 11:35 a.m., earlier than anticipated, with the transit authority asking riders who experienced continued issues with the MyStop app to delete and reinstall it. The most recent app update was released in January.
Riders were directed to the Lextran website for complete route schedules during the outage. Lextran operates 25 fixed routes throughout Lexington and serves as the public transportation system for the Lexington-Fayette urban area.
Scheduled maintenance on Lextran's digital systems occurs periodically to ensure system reliability and performance. The transit authority maintains the Downtown Transit Center at 220 East Vine Street as its main hub for bus operations.
