LEXINGTON, Ky. — Lextran will operate a shuttle service from the Downtown Transit Center to Keeneland on October 30 and 31, 2026, to help attendees reach the Breeder's Cup World Championships.

The shuttle will cost $1 per trip, with passengers required to bring exact change since bus operators cannot make change, according to the transit authority.

The Breeder's Cup World Championships is one of the most prestigious horse racing events in the world, held annually at different venues across North America. The event features championship races for thoroughbred horses and draws racing enthusiasts from across the globe.

Keeneland, located on the outskirts of Lexington, is one of the nation's premier thoroughbred racing venues and hosts the prestigious Keeneland Race Course. The track has hosted major racing events and remains a central hub for the horse racing industry in Kentucky's Bluegrass region.

On Friday, October 30, shuttle service will run from the Downtown Transit Center starting in the morning, with return trips from Keeneland throughout the day. Saturday, October 31, will feature additional shuttle runs to accommodate expected crowds attending the final day of racing.

The shuttle service offers an alternative to driving and parking at the track, helping reduce traffic congestion during the event. Riders should plan accordingly and bring exact change to ensure smooth boarding on the shuttle buses.
