MOUNT VERNON, Ky. — No injuries were reported after a mobile home fire in Rockcastle County early Sunday morning, according to the Brodhead Fire Department.

The Brodhead Fire Department and Mount Vernon Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Highway 1326 around 5:20 a.m., where crews found heavy smoke pouring from a single-wide mobile home. Firefighters brought the blaze under control quickly, with the home's resident having already evacuated before emergency crews arrived.

The resident is receiving assistance from the American Red Cross as a result of the fire. The cause of the fire was not disclosed in the fire department's report.

Rockcastle County EMS, the Rockcastle County Sheriff's Office, and the Mount Vernon Police Department also responded to the incident. The coordinated response from multiple agencies helped prevent injuries and limit damage to the structure.
