LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Displate, a Warsaw-based manufacturer of metal posters, announced plans to establish its first Kentucky operation and first manufacturing facility in the United States, with a $9.5 million investment creating 79 jobs.

The new facility will strengthen the company's expansion into the North American market, according to the announcement from the Office of the Governor. Displate creates metal posters featuring artwork from independent artists and major entertainment franchises, with a subscription service offering benefits like discounts and early access to limited editions.

The investment aligns with Kentucky's strong position in manufacturing. The greater Louisville area is home to 2,400 manufacturing companies employing more than 82,500 workers in automotive, food and beverage, plastics, appliances, and electrical components. The manufacturing industry contributed more than $45 billion to the state's gross domestic product.

Since 2020, the Beshear administration has emphasized supporting manufacturing, creating $24 billion in new investments and 32,100 full-time jobs. The Displate announcement comes as Kentucky continues to attract significant manufacturing and economic development projects. In 2026, the state marked the best first four months for economic investment of any year in Kentucky history, with more than $7 billion in announced and approved investment.

The company, founded in 2013, has grown to serve pop culture enthusiasts worldwide. Displate offers designs from over 40,000 independent artists and licensing agreements with major franchises including Marvel, Star Wars and Netflix.
