Reddit Roundup
Over on R Lexington right now, people are talking about a couple of local landmarks that caught everyone's attention. First up, it looks like someone crashed into the Bryant's sign, and folks are saying it might be totaled.
Oh no, that's the one where they put up all the happy birthday and anniversary messages, right? I saw one commenter mention it was really depressing since so many people drive by that thing every day.
Yeah, someone even called out "Happy Anniversary Ashley" in the comments, probably referencing one of those messages that was up there. Another person noted the utility poles got knocked backward too, so it sounds like quite a mess.
That's such a bummer. But on a lighter note, people are also buzzing about something pretty quirky they spotted around town. Someone posted about a Colonel Sanders weather vane on top of a building at MLK and Loudon.
A Colonel Sanders weather vane? That's very Lexington. One commenter joked that it's perfect for anyone who's not a fan of the usual chicken-shaped ones, and another person said it's like it's pointing them toward the nearest KFC.
Someone else mentioned it's been there since the building got remodeled, apparently put up by some friends who lived there back in the early two thousands. Though one person said they always thought it looked more like an orchestra conductor than the Colonel.
I love that people are still discovering these little neighborhood details. That's what Lexington is talking about this morning.
