Reddit Roundup
Two things people are chewing on over on R Lexington today, and one of them literally involves chewing.
Oh, the peanut butter factory post?
Yep, someone's asking why Lexington smells like peanuts all the time, and folks are defending it hard.
I mean, we do have the world's largest peanut butter facility cranking out two hundred fifty thousand jars a day.
And apparently people love that smell. One person said they'd riot if the factory ever closed.
Better than dog food smell, I guess. Also trending, Lexington just hit seventy-five straight days without a homicide.
That's a big milestone. Same time last year we had five, this year just six total.
Hold on, we've got someone calling in about the peanut butter thing.
So I actually live near Bowling Green, and yeah, when it rains here the whole city smells like that Hills Dog Food Plant. Give me peanut butter over wet dog food any day.
Oh wow, so you're speaking from experience on both smells.
That's quite the aromatic comparison tour of Kentucky.
That's what the neighborhood's talking about this morning. More local chatter coming up.
