Reddit Roundup
R Lexington has been buzzing about two things today. First up, someone celebrating "Bye Bye Mitch" with over a hundred upvotes.
Plot twist though, commenters got excited thinking it was about Senator McConnell, but sounds like it's actually about a university position.
Yeah, folks are saying it's about time, especially with talk of tuition increases happening at the same time. One person's saving Eagle Rare for the real celebration.
Speaking of celebrations, there's a fun thread going about Lexington's weirdest street names. People are having a field day with this one.
Oh, wait, somebody's on the line about this. Go ahead, you're on.
So I drive down The Lane pretty regularly, and what cracks me up is how the street signs actually read "THE ln" in all caps. It looks so official and ridiculous at the same time.
Wait, so it's literally "THE" in capital letters, then "ln"?
That's peak city planning right there. Sounds like a computer glitch that became permanent.
Other favorites include Soup Perkins Alley and Pink Pigeon Parkway. Developers definitely having fun with us.
That's what the neighborhood's talking about tonight.
