Two things people are chewing on over on R Lexington today, both about the same story.

Yeah, Aramark is ending their partnership with U-K, which means nine hundred dining service jobs are going away.

Folks are pretty fired up about the timing. One post points out how the university just offered big money to administrators while cutting working-class positions first.

But there's another side to this. A lot of people are actually celebrating because apparently Aramark was terrible.

Right, one commenter said the food quality went down every year and they barely hired students. Called them a horrible company.

The real question is whether those nine hundred jobs actually come back or if it's fewer positions at lower pay.

Hold on, we've got someone calling in about this.

So I work in food service and let me tell you, everyone I know is celebrating Aramark leaving. It's hard to imagine U-K could find a worse vendor, but knowing them, they'll surprise us.

Of course they will.
