LEXINGTON, Ky. — Seasonal Saturday nonstop service between Lexington and Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport is returning to Blue Grass Airport this summer, marking the restoration of a popular travel route that was previously offered before 2021.

The flights will operate from May 9 through August 8, 2026, on Delta Air Lines using 76-seat CRJ-900 aircraft. Tickets are already available for purchase at www.delta.com. According to Eric Frankl, president and CEO of Blue Grass Airport, the renewed service reflects strong market demand and the airport's continued growth in connectivity.

"Restoring this seasonal route gives our travelers even more flexibility and convenience, whether they're connecting to destinations across the upper Midwest and beyond or welcoming visitors to the Bluegrass region," Frankl said in a statement. Blue Grass Airport served a record 1.6 million passengers in 2025, the second consecutive year the airport has set a passenger record. The Minneapolis return comes as the airport continues experiencing significant expansion. The airport is undertaking a long-term modernization project to upgrade its terminal, add gates, and improve passenger amenities.
