Here's one on the calendar for Monday worth knowing about. There's an information forum this morning for people who own or operate sober living homes in Fayette County.

It's at the Marksbury Family Branch Library from eleven a.m. to one p.m. Apparently there are new licensing requirements. Recovery residences now have to get what's called a Special Fees License to operate in Lexington.

That sounds like a pretty significant change for operators. Is this something the county's been working on for a while?

The forum is being put on by Social Services, so I'd imagine this has been in the works. Seems like they want to make sure owners and operators understand what they need to do to stay compliant.

Makes sense to get everyone on the same page before rolling out new requirements.
