Toothsure To Build Manufacturing Facility in Perry County
Governor Andy Beshear announced that Toothsure, an innovative oral healthcare company, will establish a new manufacturing facility in Perry County with a $7.3 million investment that will create 60 quality jobs, according to an announcement from the Governor's office.
The project will consolidate and relocate the company's supply chain operations into a single facility, streamlining operations and supporting the company's growth. Toothsure was founded by Dr. Greg Baker, a dentist from Hazard, Kentucky, who developed innovative products designed to improve oral hygiene in healthcare settings and for patients with special needs. The company manufactures disposable and reusable toothbrushes and other oral care products with simplified protocols for healthcare environments.
The Perry County facility represents a significant economic development win for the region, which has been actively working to diversify its economy beyond traditional industries. Perry County, with a population of approximately 28,473, is home to Hazard, the county seat.
Governor Beshear's administration has prioritized manufacturing investments across the commonwealth. Since the beginning of his administration, Gov. Beshear has announced more than 1,300 private-sector new-location and expansion projects totaling over $48.2 billion in announced investments, creating more than 69,000 jobs. The Toothsure project adds to Kentucky's growing portfolio of manufacturing operations and underscores the state's commitment to attracting companies across diverse sectors.
