
Transylvania University junior Ella Go awarded Shearer Scholarship
LEXINGTON, Ky. — Transylvania University junior Ella Go has been awarded this year's Charles and Susan Shearer Scholarship for her outstanding academic record and significant contributions to the Lexington liberal arts college.
The honor, given annually to a junior with an outstanding academic record and significant contributions to Transylvania, was presented during the university's annual Student Awards ceremony May 7 at the William T. Young Campus Center.
The scholarship recognizes academic excellence and outstanding contributions of Transylvania's Pioneers, with awards honoring top grade-point averages and specialized achievements across multiple disciplines.
Go joins a distinguished group of Transylvania students recognized for combining academic excellence with meaningful engagement in campus life. Other award recipients recognized during the ceremony included Mustafa Khan for outstanding achievement in general chemistry and Olivia Sparks and Lily Jasper for their work in history and political science, respectively.
