Woman arrested in W Sixth Street domestic violence shooting
LEXINGTON, Ky. — A woman has been arrested following a shooting on West Sixth Street that left a man injured, the Lexington Police Department reported.
Officers responded to a residence in the 500 block of West Sixth Street around 8:40 p.m. on March 17, 2026, for a report of a shooting with a victim. When they arrived, police located a male victim who had been shot and transported him to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Neffitiri Miller, 36, was arrested at the scene and charged with first-degree assault domestic violence. She is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.
According to additional reporting, the victim was identified as Miller's fiancé, and he was shot in the leg during an altercation. Police said Miller allegedly engaged in a physical fight before a firearm was introduced, resulting in the shooting.
