Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear will go on a tour starting in September to promote his upcoming book, “Go and Do Likewise.”

Beshear, a Democrat who is seen as a possible candidate for the 2028 presidential election, will make stops in Kentucky as well as a couple of states with early primaries — New Hampshire and Michigan.

The governor announced his book earlier this year. The book will be released on Tuesday, Sept. 22. The pre-order page said Beshear “reclaims faith as a force for good in public life and rebukes those who use it to harm and discriminate.” It also called Beshear “a leading Democratic voice against the cruel, corrupt, and immoral practices of Donald Trump and his administration.”

The first stop will be on Sunday, Sept. 20, at Joseph-Beth Booksellers in Lexington. There, Beshear will be in conversation with Kentucky author Silas House, who Beshear had named as the state poet laureate in 2023.

Other Kentucky towns with stops on the tour are Bowling Green and Louisville. Beshear will also travel to Washington D.C., Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Ohio, Georgia, Tennessee and Illinois.
