From The Lexington Times, Lexington's Urban County Council has postponed a decision about what to do with a failing pump station located behind Dunbar High School. The pump station has been leaking and needs to be addressed, but council members want additional information before moving forward with any of the three options being considered.

The potential solutions carry price tags ranging from just under twenty million dollars to more than forty-eight million dollars. One of the proposals involves relocating the pump station to Mill Ridge Farm, but that plan has generated pushback from local residents who worry it would bypass existing development restrictions in the area.

Council members will take up the matter again when they reconvene on April twenty-eighth. Until then, city officials will work to gather the additional details requested by the council to help inform their decision on how to handle the problematic infrastructure.
