Brief: KYTC to close KY 1160 for drainage work in Mercer County
From The Lexington Times, drivers in Mercer County should plan for detours this week as state transportation officials prepare to close a section of Kentucky Route eleven sixty. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will shut down a two-mile stretch of the highway between mile markers nine and eleven from eight in the morning until three in the afternoon daily from April twentieth through the twenty-second. The closure will allow crews to install new cross drains and complete blacktopping work along that section of roadway. The work is scheduled to wrap up by Monday afternoon, with normal traffic flow expected to resume afterward. Motorists traveling through the area during those morning and afternoon hours should seek alternate routes and allow extra time for their commutes while the drainage improvements are underway.
