Building Industry Association Hires New Director of Business Development
The Building Industry Association of Northern Kentucky announced Tuesday that Jill Hollin has joined the organization as director of business development, according to reporting by the NKy Tribune. Hollin will support both the BIA NKY and its training division, the Enzweiler Building Institute.
Northern Kentucky is experiencing strong housing demand and steady industry growth, while continuing to face a significant workforce shortage across skilled trades. In her position, Hollin will focus on expanding partnerships, increasing membership engagement, and driving revenue growth to support the scaling of workforce training programs at the EBI.
With more than 15 years of experience in the construction and building industry, Hollin brings a result-driven approach to business development and strategic growth. Most recently, she served as a senior account manager with Lowe's Companies, Inc., where she managed a high-value portfolio and secured multimillion-dollar builder accounts.
In her new role, Hollin will help address some of the industry's most pressing challenges: closing the workforce gap, growing BIA NKY's membership base, expanding non-dues revenue, and increasing the capacity and reach of the Enzweiler Building Institute. The Enzweiler Building Institute is one of the longest running trade schools under the National Association of Home Builders, offering programs in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, welding, and other skilled trades.
Brian Miller, executive vice president of BIA NKY, said Hollin's timing is pivotal. "As demand for housing continues to grow, so does the need for a strong, skilled workforce and a connected, engaged membership base," Miller said. "Jill brings the experience, energy, and vision needed to help us expand our reach, grow our membership, and scale our training programs."
Industry leaders have emphasized that a lack of sufficient workforce in residential construction is one of the largest drivers of housing costs and the lead time to build new homes. For more information about the Building Industry Association of Northern Kentucky, visit buildersnky.com.
