LEXINGTON, Ky. — Fayette County Public Schools' Transportation Department will hold brief in-person interviews for substitute bus drivers and bus monitors on July 7, according to a district announcement. The interviews will take place between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the John D. Price Administration Building, 450 Park Place.

The positions are for the 2026-27 school year, and time slots are limited. Interested applicants are encouraged to register now through the district's scheduling system. Those selected after the initial screening will receive paid training beginning July 27.

Both positions are temporary and pay $15 per hour. Bus monitors play a critical role in keeping students safe, particularly those with special needs, while substitute drivers are responsible for transporting students to and from school, field trips, and other events. Applicants must be able to lift 50 pounds and adhere to all safety guidelines.
