LEXINGTON, Ky. — The HealthFirst Bluegrass school-based clinic at Tates Creek High School will open its doors this summer to help students prepare for the 2026-27 school year, according to Fayette County Public Schools.

The clinic will operate from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays from June 8 through July 17, offering sports physicals, school physicals, and vaccinations. In addition to preventive care, the facility provides illness visits and therapy and psychiatric care services.

HealthFirst Bluegrass operates clinics in ten schools across the Greater Lexington region in partnership with Fayette County Public Schools and the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department. Any student within the FCPS system can be seen at the clinic as long as a completed and signed consent packet is on file. The clinics accept Medicare, Medicaid and most private insurance.

"School-based health centers are key to providing comprehensive, patient-centered health care," according to HealthFirst Bluegrass. "They're conveniently located in schools near where patients live, go to school and work." Research shows that healthy children are more likely to attend school ready to learn and more likely to graduate.
