Henry Clay's Ritchie Named 2026 All-City Baseball Player of Year
LEXINGTON, Ky. — JT Ritchie, a senior right-hander from Henry Clay High School, has been named the 2026 All-City Player of the Year by the nine high school baseball coaches in Lexington's KHSAA programs.
Ritchie led the Blue Devils to the 42nd District baseball championship this spring while compiling a 6-1 record on the mound with a 1.65 earned run average. The two-way player also contributed significantly at the plate, recording 43 hits with a .347 average while scoring 35 runs with 28 RBIs and two home runs.
Three other Fayette County Public Schools seniors earned first-team honors on Lexington's All-City Baseball Team: Turner Sparks, a right-handed pitcher from Henry Clay; Jacob Carpenter, a right-handed pitcher and designated hitter from Lafayette; and Gabe Wright, catcher for Frederick Douglass.
The All-City selections are determined through voting by the city's nine varsity baseball coaches, who rank their top prospects from among nominated players across the region's high schools.
