The Kentucky Assistive Technology Loan Corporation will hold a special board meeting on July 10 in room 447CE, according to an announcement from the Kentucky Education and Workforce Cabinet.

KATLC is a state program that provides low-interest loans to Kentuckians with disabilities for assistive technology such as modified vehicles, hearing aids, adapted computers and mobility devices. Since its first loan in 2000, the corporation has distributed more than $10 million in financing to help Kentuckians with disabilities achieve greater independence.

The board, which consists of seven members with four required to have disabilities, oversees all loan applications. The organization is currently undergoing a reorganization and searching for a new lending partner, according to its website.
