Kentucky State Police Post 12 and the United States Marshals Service conducted 42 sexual offender registration compliance checks in Anderson County during the week of July 27, 2026, resulting in three arrests and one felony case, according to a Kentucky State Police announcement.

The coordinated enforcement effort yielded three resident searches alongside Probation and Parole officials and one case involving distribution of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor under 12 years old. Information on three fugitives was also forwarded to the U.S. Marshals Service for nationwide search coordination.

KSP Post 12, based in Frankfort, provides police coverage for seven counties including Anderson, Fayette, Franklin, Scott, Shelby, Spencer and Woodford. The sexual offender registration checks align with state requirements for compliance verification.

The Kentucky State Police emphasized its commitment to community protection through registration enforcement. "The Kentucky State Police is committed to protecting and serving its communities by ensuring registered sexual offenders remain in compliance with their registration requirements," the agency said in a statement.

Under Kentucky law, sex offenders face specific registration and residency requirements. The Kentucky State Police provides sex offender registration information to the public to promote public safety and awareness, according to state statute.
