The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will close a section of KY 749 (Bondsmill Road) in Anderson County on Sept. 30 for cross drain replacement work, KYTC District 7 announced.

The roadway will be closed between mile points 5.5 and 6.5 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., weather permitting. The road will reopen to traffic after 2 p.m.

Motorists are advised to use U.S. 62 (Bardstown Road) as an alternate route during the closure. KYTC cautioned drivers to use caution and watch for signage and personnel in the work zone.

The closure is scheduled tentatively and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies, and other unforeseen circumstances. For real-time traffic updates and road conditions, motorists can visit GoKy.ky.gov.

KYTC District 7 covers Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford counties.
