KYTC to resurface U.S. 60 in Woodford County, Versailles
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will begin nighttime roadway repairs on U.S. 60 and U.S. 60X in Woodford County and downtown Versailles beginning Tuesday, Oct. 6, according to a KYTC District 7 press release.
Crews will conduct initial roadway repairs through Thursday, Oct. 8, with work scheduled nightly from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. to minimize impacts on morning and evening commuters. Flagging operations and alternating lane closures will be in place as needed during those hours.
Milling and paving operations on U.S. 60 (Lexington Road) in Woodford County are scheduled to begin Thursday, Oct. 15. Work will extend from the Bluegrass Parkway ramps eastward toward Lexington to the Woodford/Fayette County line, with alternating lane closures expected to take about one week to complete, weather permitting.
Once U.S. 60 work is finished, crews will move to U.S. 60X through downtown Versailles, which includes Lexington Street, North Main Street, and Frankfort Street. That phase is expected to take approximately two weeks, also with nightly alternating lane closures from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
The KYTC stated crews are expected to work Sunday through Friday nights, with the entire project scheduled to continue through Friday, Nov. 6. All work is tentative and subject to change based on weather conditions, emergencies, or other unforeseen circumstances.
