Paul Laurence Dunbar put on a dominant defensive performance Friday night, shutting out Great Crossing 35-0 at home. The Bulldogs are looking to get back to winning days under head coach Wes Johnson, heading into his ninth season and bringing back nearly the entire roster from last season.

Bryan Station defeated Tates Creek 21-3 at home to stay undefeated on the young season. Frederick Douglass also remained perfect with a 10-0 shutout of Corbin at home.

In other football action, Sayre dominated Bracken County 35-0, while Lafayette fell to West Jessamine 24-9 at home.

Girls' Volleyball: Sayre bounced back from a loss to Beechwood with a 2-0 victory over Eminence at the Owensboro Convention Center, while Tates Creek went 2-0 on the day at Woodford County, defeating both Woodford County and Henry County. Bryan Station fell to Boyle County 2-1, and Lafayette dropped a 2-0 match to Boyd County.

Boys' Soccer: Henry Clay edged Moline 3-1 on the road.
