A 61-year-old Minnesota woman died in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash near Willisburg Road in Anderson County on June 7, Kentucky State Police reported.

Carol Jean Olson of Faribault, Minnesota, was traveling south on KY-53 near 1346 Willisburg Road around 3:50 p.m. when she lost control of her three-wheeled motorcycle on a sharp curve, according to KSP Post 12 in Frankfort. Olson was thrown from the vehicle and struck the base of a road sign.

KSP was notified of the crash by the Anderson County Sheriff's Office at approximately 4:15 p.m. Olson was the sole occupant of the motorcycle. Trooper Austin Beasley led the investigation, which was assisted by personnel from the Anderson County Sheriff's Office, Anderson County EMS and the Anderson County Coroner's Office.

The investigation remains pending. Next of kin have been notified.
