LEXINGTON, Ky. — Paving work will begin on Euclid Avenue and High Street in the Chevy Chase neighborhood next Wednesday through Friday, with contractors working at night to minimize traffic disruptions, according to the city of Lexington.

ATS Construction, working on behalf of Kentucky American Water, will complete the final paving phase of a water main replacement project that started last year. The nighttime work schedule was approved by the city to reduce impact on motorists during daytime hours.

Residents and drivers are advised to use navigation applications for real-time closure information as work progresses. The city said it will monitor the project to ensure contractors maintain productivity while keeping inconvenience to residents to a minimum.

Weather conditions may affect the work schedule. The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government manages infrastructure projects including water main replacements and associated street work throughout the city.
