No Foul Play Suspected in Anderson County Death Investigation
LEXINGTON, Ky. — Kentucky State Police are investigating the death of a Lawrenceburg man found inside his home Sunday evening, with authorities indicating that no foul play is suspected in the case, according to a statement from KSP Post 12.
Troopers from KSP Post 12 in Frankfort responded to a home on Marrs Avenue in Anderson County around 5:30 p.m. Sunday, March 1, after the Lawrenceburg Police Department requested assistance. Officers discovered 53-year-old Jon Crawford deceased inside the residence. The Anderson County Coroner declared Crawford dead at 3:46 p.m.
An autopsy performed Monday morning provided investigators with information that indicated no foul play was suspected in Crawford's death. The investigation remains ongoing with KSP Post 12.
Crawford, who was born August 29, 1972, in Frankfort, is survived by his mother, Judith Hanks Crawford; his brother, Chris Conrade Crawford; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service is scheduled for noon Saturday at First Christian Church in Lawrenceburg, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Sand Spring Baptist Church Cemetery.
KSP Post 12, which provides coverage for Anderson, Fayette, Franklin, Scott, Shelby, Spencer, and Woodford counties, was assisted at the scene by the Lawrenceburg Police Department, Anderson County EMS, and the Anderson County Sheriff's Office.
