One injured in single-vehicle crash on New Circle Road
LEXINGTON, Ky. — One person was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries following a single-vehicle collision on New Circle Road on Saturday evening, according to the Lexington Police Department.
The crash occurred around 5:10 p.m. on the inner loop of New Circle Road between Harrodsburg Road and Versailles Road. Police responded to the scene and found a single vehicle involved in the incident.
Investigators determined that neither drugs nor alcohol were factors in the collision. All roadways in the area have since reopened to traffic.
New Circle Road, which forms a loop around central Lexington, is one of the city's major traffic corridors. The road sees regular congestion during peak hours, and accidents on the route can impact traffic flow across the city.
