Technical Committee to review 16 development projects Wednesday
The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government's Technical Review Committee is scheduled to consider 16 development and subdivision proposals during a meeting set for Wednesday, May 27, according to the committee's agenda.
The Technical Review Committee brings together members of various governmental agencies and utility providers to discuss technical issues related to proposed development plans and plats before they advance to the Planning Commission.
Among the projects scheduled for consideration is a proposal for Coldstream Research Campus Unit 4, a major development hub in Lexington. The project would involve lots at 1501, 1525, and 1776 McGrathiana Parkway in Council District 2. Coldstream Research Campus is a 735-acre hub of innovation that serves as a gateway to Lexington's high-tech and research sectors, home to more than 50 organizations and over 2,250 employees.
The committee will also review Masterson Station Center, identified as Citation Village, proposed for 129 Ferndale Pass in the Masterson Station area. Masterson Station is located on the northwestern edge of Lexington and is characterized by modern residential development in an up-and-coming area.
Additional agenda items include development plans for Sikura-Justice at Polo Club Center, the George West Estate property proposed for a Casey's convenience store at 4538 Georgetown Road, Marathon Service Center at 3100 Mapleleaf Drive, and Lexmark International property expansion at 985 Freight Boulevard, among several others.
The committee will also consider reapproval of Greendale Hills Unit 3 in Council District 6, as well as six postponed items including South Broadway Place and Lynn Grove Addition, which has been pending since October 2025.
The meeting is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. EST (7:30 a.m. CST) in the Phoenix Building's 3rd-floor conference room at 101 E. Vine Street. All projects must conform to the Land Subdivision Regulations and Zoning Ordinance, according to the agenda. The Planning Commission has until August 2, 2026, to either approve or disapprove most of the proposals listed.
The next Technical Committee meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, June 24, 2026.
