Technical committee to review 5 development proposals Wednesday
LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government's Technical Review Committee is scheduled to consider several subdivision and development proposals during a meeting set for September 23, according to the committee's agenda.
The meeting will take place at 8:30 a.m. ET in the Phoenix Building's third-floor conference room. The Technical Review Committee brings together members of various governmental agencies and utility providers to discuss technical issues related to proposed development plans and plats before they advance to the Planning Commission.
Among the proposals scheduled for technical review is a major development plan for Sayre Christian Village Phase 7 at 3775 Belleau Wood Drive in Council District 4. Sayre Christian Village is a nonprofit senior living community dedicated to providing quality housing, rehabilitation services and long-term care reflecting Christian compassion for older adults. The Phase 7 project is scheduled for Planning Commission review by November 30, according to the agenda.
The committee will also consider two final subdivision plans: one for the GDK Farm property at 5447 Tates Creek Road in Council District 12, and another for properties owned by Martin Navarro and Julie Ramirez at 313, 315, 317 and 319 Ohio Street in Council District 1. Both must receive Planning Commission approval by November 30.
The agenda also includes several postponed items previously heard by the committee, including development proposals at South Broadway Place and Lynn Grove Addition in Council District 10, and the Griffin Gate Center project on Newtown Pike in Council District 2. The Griffin Gate Center expansion would include a new Hampton Inn and Suites, expanded convention center space, and 150 to 200 additional parking spaces.
All plans submitted to the committee must conform to Lexington's Land Subdivision Regulations and Zoning Ordinance, according to the agenda. The next Technical Committee meeting is scheduled for October 28.
