Ticketmaster to resell Harry Styles tickets after blocking scalpers
The ticketing company said it identified scalpers using multiple accounts and fake identities to circumvent ticket purchase limits and resell tickets for profit. Ticketmaster canceled all fraudulent tickets before they could be transferred to fans and is working with the tour to release the seized inventory back to fans at the original price.
"We caught scalpers using multiple accounts and fake identities to try to get around ticket limits and resell tickets for profit," Ticketmaster said in a statement. "We've canceled those tickets, none of which had been transferred to fans, and we are working with the tour to release them back to fans at the original price."
The company emphasized that its anti-fraud efforts will not impact legitimate ticket purchasers. Any customers who bought tickets through legitimate accounts or received transferred tickets will not be affected by the cancellations.
Ticketmaster will open a request window for the re-offered tickets from April 30 until May 1 at 5 p.m. Eastern Time. Fans who are approved for tickets will receive notification via email by May 8.
Harry Styles is scheduled to perform 30 shows at Madison Square Garden in New York City between August 26 and October 31, 2026, as part of his "Together, Together" world tour. The move comes as Ticketmaster's parent company Live Nation faces ongoing scrutiny over its market dominance in the concert ticketing industry.
